Canberra Branch

Structure

The Branch has two major areas, known as "Clusters," where people live in proximity to one another: Page, in Belconnen and Kambah, in the Tuggeranong Valley. Not all community members live in these areas but, where possible, we are encouraged to do so.

Living in close proximity to one another allows us to support and encourage one another in our Community lifestyle.

The Branch is sheperded by a Branch Elder with the support of a Branch Council, who meet regularly to discuss and make decisions on the life and order of the Branch.

Each member of the Branch is allocated to a Home Fellowship which comprises a number of families and single adults who meet as a group at least once per fortnight. Home Fellowships are the epitome of Community life, since they are where we experience the lifestyle at the grass roots level.

Each member of the Branch is also allocated a Pastoral Companion. This is a person, or, in the case of married couples, another married couple, who can meet regularly with those that they companion, to help them to walk through their Christian and Community journey. Companions pray with each other and seek the Lord's Will for their lives in both day-to-day matters of importance and in the long-term decisions of life that need to be made.
